Abstract :
The electrical properties of polyether insulation for enameled wires have been considered. A novel equivalent circuit of a dielectric with space charge is proposed. The characteristics of the circuit, including the time dependence of residual voltage, have been calculated. It was demonstrated that the circuit can successfully explain nonlinear processes in dielectrics. The model is particularly applicable to the description of the physical processes in dielectrics with space charge, especially in thin polymeric insulation, where the interface layers have a pronounced influence
