Abstract :
In the development of a millimeter wave (MMW) digital ferrite phase shifter, an optimum synthetic method is adopted to develop the MMW ferrite toroid materials which are of good performance and very small deformation. The problem of the matched network design of a compressed waveguide loaded by a ferrite in its center is solved. The accuracy of the differential phase-shift (in root-mean-square error (RMS error)) of the ferrite phase shifter can be made to be less than 5° within the range of 100°C, in practice, by putting forward a new technique of the digit code configuration and using synthetic computer analysis. The computing software developed is available for device designers to properly analyze and design such devices
