  • Abstract
    A novel large negative dispersion photonic crystal Fiber (PCF) with dual-core structure is proposed. A new outer core is formed by replacing or filling the 3rd ring air-holes around the inner core with high refractive index material. The dispersion property is investigated numerically and the results show that large negative dispersion above an order of 104 can be obtained over a wide wavelength range, and the peak value and its wavelength can be well tuned by varying the diameter, the relative lattice constant, and the refractive index of filled material. It can be used as novel dispersion compensation PCF.
