Abstract :
The authors discuss the development of a new non-invasive technique which does not rely on averaging and is capable of detecting microvolt potentials on a beat-to-beat basis. The problem is fundamentally one of extracting the desired small signals from a noisy background. The development of such a system is described and some clinical results are presented which show how the detection of microvolt signals, such as the His-Purkinje system electrogram and ventricular late potentials, may be obtained
