Abstract :
A cavity soliton laser (CSL) is a device able to self generate localized states, also, without the injection of a coherent beam. In this paper, we describe the experimental realization of a cavity soliton laser by coupling two broad area semiconductor lasers in a self imaging configuration. Furthermore, the possibility to engineer the proposed scheme in a single monolithic device opens the way to robust, cost effective cavity soliton sources.
