Abstract :
Deep study on shaping process of Narrow Inside Right-angle Step (NIRS) have been conducted, in order to improve the precision of shaping NIRS, and to solve practical problems are emerged from design of dies for Cross Wedge Rolling (CWR). According to actual deforming process of NIRS, its models in shaping process were given. Their volume functions were expressed by two related parameters, and were piecewise solved by programming. Then shaping curves of NIRS were solved. Compared with shaping curve of normal step, the features of NIRS have been analyzed. FEM simulation verified the correctness of this method.
