Abstract
This paper studies the nonlinear behaviors of an earthquake model including periodic, quasi-periodic, and chaotic motions. The differential transformation method is employed to solve the govern-equation. The system state phase portraits, Poincare¿ maps, power spectra, and bifurcation diagrams are used to analyze the dynamic behavior of the model in the horizontal direction under different operating conditions. This paper shows how the dynamic behavior of this type of system varies with changes in ¿, Ã, and ¿.
