  • Abstract
    This paper describes the application of genetic (GAs) and micro genetic (μGAs) algorithms to the problem of locating and sizing passive filters in an electric network affected by harmonic disturbances. The proposed methods have been tested on several types of industrial and public networks and some “worst case” results are shown
