Abstract
This paper illustrates the impact of defective rates of inspection and defective removal strategies on the profitability of a manufacturing system. The use of simulation to assess the cost of quality for justification of quality improvement is demonstrated. The model is written for the academic version of SLAMSYSTEM with Microsoft FORTRAN 5.1 inserts
