Abstract :
A cavity design is presented in this paper, where the filtering propertiesof the ridge waveguide section are increased by using reverse bias absorber sections next to the ridge waveguide. Due to these absorber sections the propagation of the optical field beside the actual RW ridge can suppressed and the spectral behaviour as well as the beam propagation factor is improved.
