Abstract
A circuit simulator, EISCAP, is introduced for the efficient development and design of switching circuits. The transient state of a forward multiresonant power converter was simulated by EISCAP. The magnetizing current of the transformer has a great effect on the converter operation. The most interesting effect was that peak voltage across the main switch increased for the transient state. The peak voltage across the main switch was changed by the pulse frequency modulation (PFM) control method of the main switch. The relation between the stress of the main switch and the PFM control method of the switch in the transient state was revealed
