Abstract :
A multidetector is described which is the only integrated particle detector/counter of its kind. It has made significant advances in terms of increased sensitivity coupled with excellent linearity and a very high count-rate (up to 5 MHz per channel). The detector, in operation in the laboratory of one of the authors, is detecting states in argon that previous analogue detectors have been unable to distinguish from the background
