  • Abstract
Based on the work flow of steel rolling process, the water flow chart was built and its valuation index of water-use was confirmed by using the tracking observation principle of the material flow analysis theory combined with medium and small cycle theory of system energy conservation. The water-use status of steel rolling process was analyzed. A case study on a plant, its water-using situation and the deficiencies of water system were analyzed and evaluated. Through optimizing: the amount of new industrial water decreases by 0.159m3/t(steel), efflux wastewater decreases by 0.286 m3/t(steel), water resource efficiency increases by 70.32, water environmental efficiency increases by 73.58t/ m3.
