Abstract
Direct power control, vector control based on d-q synchronous rotating reference frame and alpha-beta static reference frame for the grid-side converter of variable speed constant frequency doubly-fed wind turbines are analyzed. System simulation model with MATLAB is established, and control performances with three strategies are compared by simulation. Simulation results show that vector control based on alpha-beta static reference frame is a simple and feasible control strategy which could achieve active and reactive power decoupled control and stable the DC-link voltage.
