Abstract :
There is still a vast shortage of information relating to flashover on partially polluted insulators due to the difficulty and expense of reproducing actual conditions to any degree of accuracy or consistency. The authors adopt a method which makes use of models to attempt to simulate the effects of pollution layers and which is seen as a reasonable alternative to actual reproduction and is widely applied
