Abstract :
This paper discusses a new kind of noise radar-the random binary phase coded (RBPC) CW radar system. First, the probability distribution and average ambiguity function (AAF) for the radar waveform and the probability distribution of the range sidelobe (RSL) are systematically analysed. Then, a statistical method of suppressing the RSL by more than 30 dB is presented. In the meantime, the design of the system parameters is made and the extension of the Doppler tolerance is discussed
