Abstract :
This paper, the strength of the steel plate silo is calculated according to the relevant design specification. The finite element software SAP2000 is used to model and analysis the silo base on the finite element method. The results based on the two methods are compared and the good agreements can be obtained, indicating that the finite element model is correct.
