  • Abstract
A brief description is given of test equipment that was developed to yield transfer functions directly for control elements that are operating on-line or isolated from the system. Test results are given to illustrate the application of this technique to measuring the parameters of a power system stabilizer (PSS). This same concept has been used to obtain AVR, turbine, and penstock transfer functions during field tests at power plants
