Abstract
Here we present an all-fiber, nanosecond pulsed Yb-doped MOPA without any free space pumping. Average output power in excess of 100W was achieved.Using pulse shaping technique, we obtained square shaped output pulses, maximizing pulse energy and minimizing the pulse peak power for a given pulse duration. Using axicon lenses, we had successfully realized ring shaped output beam from a collimated Gaussian beam.Such high energy, high peak power pulses with appropriate beam shaping can be used for a wide range of applications including rapid prototyping, material processing etc.
