  • Abstract
    Low gain is an important demerit of microstrip antenna. In the present endeavour, an enhanced gain annular ring antenna is designed by using several gain enhancement techniques such as stacking, introducing air gap and operating at higher order modes. Annular ring antenna has been chosen for size reduction and high gain. Annular ring antenna exited at higher order modes exhibit maximum power at angles other than 0°. Theoretical, simulated results and experimental observations are all in good agreement and showing an increase in gain.
