Abstract :
It is suggested that mainframe computer systems and computer networks are new resources for professional communicators. Today´s information designers will become tomorrow´s multimedia network programmers. Personal workstations will become the primary communications medium for industry, education, and consumers. These systems will be connected into the national networks. It is suggested that professional communicators will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of network technologies into our daily activities. Media professionals can develop today´s media so that they can be easily assimilated by future technologies. The author presents a scenario for evolving today´s information into formats for use in tomorrow´s multimedia networks
