  • Abstract
    The authors present the results of some experiments carried out to implement certain high resolution DF algorithms on a transputer-based sonar system. These experiments were at a reservoir using a 10 element array working at a frequency of 40 kHz. In this paper two main algorithms, the Capon method or the so called maximum likelihood method (MLM) and the multiple signal classification method (MUSIC), are compared with the conventional beamformer
