  • Abstract
The approach taken by a recently introduced product for automating many aspects of the communication process associated with a procedure upgrade project is discussed. This network-based product, referred to as PRONET, combines the best of word processing, relational database management, graphics, and project management software to provide the capabilities needed to effectively and efficiently automate the development, control, and maintenance of written communication. Typically, a product such as PRONET would be implemented during the early stages of a procedure upgrade project and customized to fit specific needs during the pilot program
