Abstract
In this work we propose widely linear (WL) processing data-reusing algorithms for interference suppression in direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems. Based on the widely linear estimation approach, we derive low complexity affine-projection algorithms for estimating the coefficients of adaptive linear multiuser receivers. Adaptation step normalization approaches are described for the WL type algorithms and comparison against their linear versions are carried out. Simulation experiments show that the proposed techniques outperform previously reported algorithms for several scenarios.
