The distributed intrusions detection system based on remote procedure call (RPC) has revealed the disadvantages that the quantity of data transmission is large, the performance of real time is poor, the dynamic configuration and cross-platform are hard to realize and so on, which have not been able to satisfy the need of the security of network. This paper introduces the technology of mobile agent into the field of distributed intrusions detection, and puts forward a distributed intrusions detection system model based on Aglets. In this model, use the static agent residing on network host to monitor, make use of mobile agent to collect and transmit data. The whole system not only possesses the ability of distributed detection, fast response, dynamic configuration and easily expanding, but also uses the PGP encryption algorithm on the encrypted data transmission and the identification of communication objects, which improve the security of the whole system.
