Abstract :
The authors describe a computer program (named NLCKT-NonLinear Circuit) which has been developed for the analysis of nonlinear periodic microwave circuits, with particular emphasis on minimising the computational effort so that it can be used in conjunction with equivalent-circuit as well as physical models. The conversion of the set of differential equations, which arises from the models used in the circuit, into a system of nonlinear algebraic equations is carried out using a method which is termed convolution-based sample-balance technique. Although exact in all cases for which harmonic balance techniques are exact, this technique is easier to implement and does not require the use of discrete Fourier transforms
