Abstract
Web-services are a powerful new standard that can enable a remarkable synergy of existing tools and research. Commercial Learning Management Systems (EMS) generally do not support assessment beyond the first two levels of Bloom´s Taxonomy. Web services enable recovery of the investment in complex evaluators by making the evaluators available to a community of users. In this paper, we present the generic design of Web services capable of handling complex evaluation, and illustrate the flexibility of this approach.
