  • Abstract
Data is passed round the design to product (DtoP) system in the form of data objects. Each object will have a unique system name, belong to a class, contain a number of attributes and may have an attached contents file. A user readable name can be constructed from the attributes. The three main system programs concerned with the handling of data objects are the information management system, the object buffer tool and the working set tool. The browser provides a user interface for selecting objects in the information management system
