Abstract
Considers a simulation application, using a network of transputers, which is designed to model ATM based telecommunication networks. It is primarily a distributed queueing network simulator which exploits independence between spatially separate events to process them concurrently. A routing process arrangement enables network topologies to be modelled without concern for the transputer interconnections. Additionally, despite the static allocation restrictions of OCCAM, different system topologies can be modelled without resorting to recompilation of the simulator program
