Abstract
With promises of improved efficiencies, productivity, improved customer responses etc. we are now at the phase in the new economy to look at why many promises of the old (systems) economy over the last 25 years have still not been accomplished because the managing of data which causes garbage in-garbage out is still not being addressed. This presentation reviews what is required by companies in the new economy to actually receive the benefits of using the Internet on a global basis
