Abstract
Failure in exams normally is mainly due to lack of student´s personal work. One of the most important professor´s tasks is motivating the students. Students´ motivation and doing exercises by their own without doing not wait to see teacher´s solution is necessary to increase possibility of learning. Simulation is a very useful tool which represents a great aid, support to decision making in a lot fields of science. The authors of this article propose to use simulation, specifically Witness, a commercial program of simulation, as a tool to create videos so that the professor can display problems that are studied in class. A set of videos that simulate several problems of waiting systems has been made to achieve two objectives: motivating students and improving their understanding. In this article, an experience is presented. It was carried on by the authors within a project of innovation in learning in Carlos III University of Madrid.
