Abstract :
MIMO system has attracted considerable attention recently for its potential to increase the system capacity. In this paper, we aim to design practical user scheduling algorithms to maximize the system performance. Various MAC scheduling policies have been implemented, in order to provide distributed traffic control and robustness against interference. Further, in order to increase the efficiency of resource-utilization, the scheduling policies have been modified, and those have also been implemented. MATLAB simulations have been used throughout and the various policies have been compared with each other in order to draw important results and conclusions. This paper ends with a few suggestions for future improvements.
