Abstract :
A large number of early interactive video applications were developed as teaching aids. Some computer based training programmes were developed to teach basic transactional skills to bank counter clerks. In 1987 the Department of Trade and Industry commissioned the National Interactive Video Centre to produce and market a range of videodisc courseware. The result so far is six interactive video courses that are already having a significant impact in the market places for which they were designed
