Abstract :
Infrared search and track (IRST) system with a single station has high nonlinear in substance. And this tracking is influenced by the observability of tracked target. So the theory solution and engineering practice about this issue is a great challenge. This paper analyses the passive tracking characters and gives some approach to solve some problems of filter design for maneuvering multi-target tracking with IRST based on traditional approach. The application of the given approach in a simulation system proves its effectiveness.
