Abstract
The north anchorage of Taizhou Changjiang River highway bridge is made by a large open caisson, length of the caisson is 67.9m, the width is 52.0m, and the height is 57m. The caisson divided into 11 segments in total, the first segment is 8m long, made by steel covered concrete, the 10th segment is 4m long, and the other are 5m, all made by reinforced concrete. By Surveying , Choosing by the fact that the first step compares, Researching by construction risk and construction work efficiency and Calculating comparison, the caisson sinking method was chosen finally to be partial drainage method, and the choose detail was introduced in this paper. The chosen caisson sinking method was proved to be feasible in practice, and the experience could be useful for the other similar engineering.
