Abstract :
In order to analyze the LFB ultrasonic transient behavior numerically, we set the model as nearly the same size as a conventional LFB ultrasonic microscope. The model resembles to a ultrasonic microscope with a cylindrical concave transducer. The numerical points of pressure source are set on the cylindrical surface. A radius of curvature is 0.5 mm and an aperture half-angle is 60°. In result, the main focused wave is very similar to the experiment with a schlieren method by other authors. Furthermore, we can show the leaky wave from the leaky surface wave propagating on the solid, which was unable to be done by the schlieren method
