Abstract
A one-dimensional disc models of the electron beam were usually used in the design and development of klystron due to insufficient speed of operation of modern personal computers. The one-dimensional disc model with additional modifications was also used in KLYS 4.5 code. Amplitude-frequency response (AFR) curves of wide band klystron were computed and measured. The comparison of the simulated with KLYS 4.5 code output characteristics and experimental characteristics was made for the given klystron construction, electrodynamic parameters of the cavities, beam current and voltage, and beam envelope.
