Abstract :
Electron guns, collectors, and charged particle devices are designed by using 3D finite element analysis, adaptive mesh program. Beam Optics Analysis (BOA) includes an intuitive, user friendly, graphical user interface (GUI) and 3D integral equation and magnetostatic solver. The mesh is adapted based on the electric field values and the space charge of the electrons.
