Abstract :
Analyses the harmonic behaviour of a wind electric converter in a grid connected mode under varying wind speed condition. The power quality of interconnected grid-windmill system performance is specified in terms of harmonic orders and total harmonic distortion. The fluctuations in wind reflect in the output power. The voltage and current wave forms are observed in reference to power quality issues. The power pollution is caused due to the variation of frequency, voltage, wave shape, asymmetry, transients, impulses, non-sinusoids etc. This pollution is unavoidable as the wind parameters are continuously changing. Work is being undertaken in relation to the power pollution due to wind electric converters at Maharashtra Energy Development Agency´s 1.84 MW demonstration wind power project at Gudepanchgani in Maharashtra State (India) as a case study
