Abstract
A multiport network modeling (MNM) approach is developed for the analysis and design of a gap-coupled two-port rectangular microstrip patch. The case when the radiating edge is along the gap is considered. A good agreement between moment-method results and the results based on the MNM approach has been obtained verifying the accuracy of the MNM approach developed for gap-coupled patch.<>
