Abstract
Combined with the design practice of the newly-built complex building of Harbin No.242 Hospital, this article explains the design philosophy of modern hospitals based on "inosculation" and all-round consideration. Moreover, the meaning of "inosculation" is analyzed in three aspects: environmental planning, architectural form and special arrangement and its active methods and corresponding effects in architectural materializing process.
