Abstract :
The paper describes the method of determining the region of high absorption of electromagnetic energy in the frozen rock. In the present study it was found that the boundaries of thawed and frozen soils may be determined according to the time-frequently characteristics of GPR data processed using the wavelet analysis. The technique based on the joint analysis of the 3D wavelet-spectrum has been developed.
