  • Abstract
The fundamental pressure measurement employed in the study of the function and dysfunction of the urinary tract is cystometry (the measurement of bladder pressure). However, intraurethral pressure measurements are frequently carried out with the aim to assess its function as a mechanism for retaining urine in the bladder during the storage phase. The author presents and discusses some of the techniques of urethral pressure measurement in women
