Abstract
For the evaluation of the efficiency of UltraSound Contrast Agents (USCA) and their behavior during their circulation in blood system, a simulation of an a priori image of USCA under in vivo conditions is developed. To deal with the resonant response of bubbles, the frequency response of each particle has to be taken into account. Then, corresponding images in the circulatory system are presented, and the effects of the changes of USCA properties on the images can be evaluated. Results of simulation with an unfocused 5 MHz central frequency transducer are presented. A distribution in diameter between 0.1 μm and 10 μm and a concentration of 104 particles per ml for the USCA are assumed
