  • Abstract
    The flashover performance of a semiconducting glazed post insulator covered with ice under power frequency, standard lightning impulse and standard switching impulse voltages is studied based on the electric field distributions. Electric field distributions were computed numerically using the finite element method (FEM). Numerical simulation results were successfully compared to laboratory experimental results.
