Abstract :
The conventional methods on studying the tractor vibration characteristics were based on spectrum analysis. Spectrum analysis is efficient to the linear system. The tractor is a complicated nonlinear system, so studying the tractor vibration characteristics using linear methods is imperfection. In this paper, the nonlinear method was applied to study the tractor vibration characteristics. The numerical methods of chaos identification were analyzed and the corresponding software was designed with MATLAB. The time series of tractor vibrations in different excitation frequencies were analyzed. The correlation dimensions and the Largest Lyapunov exponents of different excitations were calculated. The results illustrated that the tractor vibration included chaotic vibration. It is useful for illustrating and evaluating the vibration characteristics of tractor and diagnosing tractor malfunction with chaotic characteristic.
