Abstract :
The tensorial form of Maxwell´s equations is applied to the study of the transfer characteristics of waveguides, especially rectangular waveguides bent in their H-plane. This method provides numerical results with the same ease for bends which have constant or variable curvature. The proposed approach makes it possible to choose a system coincident with the geometry of the waveguide. The boundary conditions are exactly and very simply satisfied, and the complexity is transferred to the equations of propagation.<>
