Abstract :
The susceptance of a rectangular iris in a rectangular waveguide is obtained using a mode matching formulation. The slow convergent series and relative convergence that frequently limit the application of the method are avoided by a proper choice of basis functions and series transformations based on the Poisson summation formula. Comparisons of theoretical results with measurements confirm the accuracy of the method over a wide range of frequencies and iris dimensions.<>
