Abstract
The authors describe the experience of Bradford University in the teaching of applied signal processing. The environment in which the DSP module is to be designed is described and the appropriateness of theoretical and practical approaches are discussed. The course implementation at Bradford, including the organisation of practical exercises, is described. In addition to an assessment of DSP laboratory hardware, the issue of `what DSP language?´ is addressed
