Abstract
A formula for computing the scattering field for a polygonal plate in space is given. This formula transforms the Stratton-Chu integration into an algebraic expression. It can be used to calculate the scattering field for a body with a complex shape by means of the planar elements method. Moreover, it can be applied to estimate the secondary backscattering field in the space between polygon plates. Numerical results are presented.<>
